Being prepared is the key to a memorable Santa visit! Overlooking details can lead to unnecessary stress or disappointment, so please take a few moments to read through these tips and reply with any information we may need. When emailing us, always include your name and appointment date in the subject line.
Parking & Entry: Please reserve a spot close to the entrance (a sign, cone, or box works great). Leave the entry door unlocked a few minutes before arrival. In gated communities, notify gate staff at least one hour ahead. Santa drives a white 2007 Ford E250 Van, CA plate 55808K3.
Arrival Times: Santa may arrive early, on time, or late due to traffic or other obstacles. Regardless, you’ll always receive your full scheduled visit time. Please keep children away from doors and windows so they don’t see Santa arriving or leaving.
Household Prep: Have children use the restroom, infants fed and napped, and everyone photo-ready (faces clean, hair brushed, neat clothing). If you have a fireplace or heater, please make sure Santa isn’t seated near it, and consider turning off forced-air heat during the visit.
NICE List Activity: Hosts may send us a few funny or heartwarming “nice” details about select guests. Begin with the person’s name, followed by short notes about kind or humorous behaviors from the past year. Send at least 72 hours before your appointment with subject line format: SMITH, 12/11, Nice details. Please note, not all submissions can be included in the performance.
Elf on the Shelf: If your family elf is part of your tradition, email us their name and last year’s best antics so Santa can mention them.
Sing-Along with Santa A. Claus: Gather your guests for a joyful sing-along led by Santa himself! We provide up to 75 printed, customized songbooks so everyone can join the fun. Choose from 10 holiday favorites including Jingle Bells, Silent Night, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, White Christmas, and more. Email us about this add-on for full details.
Supervision: Please assign an adult to supervise at all times to avoid overwhelming Santa or causing awkward moments.
Children’s Comfort: Let hesitant children observe. Do not pick them up; instead, kneel and reassure them. If a child is inconsolable, gently remove them for a break. Encourage once, then let Santa work his magic.
Santa’s Chair: Provide a sturdy, armless chair (not sofas, recliners, or folding chairs). Place it in a well-lit spot with a festive background. If you’ve reserved Santa’s handmade throne, it will be delivered to your porch—hosts are responsible for moving it inside and returning it afterward.
Gift Delivery: Place gifts in a designated vehicle parked on the right side of your driveway. Mark each gift clearly in large black marker (no bows or tags, sealed bags only). Santa will bring in one sack (max 50 lbs). Additional bags must be carried in by your helpers. Please also provide the vehicle’s make, model, color, and license plate. Leave the trunk closed but unlocked; Santa’s elf will secure it afterward. To make the magic even more special, place large name tags on guests’ left chest area so Santa can call everyone by name.
Photos & Video: Designate a photographer. Check that batteries are charged, memory cards clear, or film is fresh. Keep backups handy. Parents are encouraged to stand behind Santa during storytime to enjoy their children’s expressions. Ask us about instant keepsakes, backdrops, lighting, or professional photography packages.
Inclement Weather: Outdoor events require full cover and protection from rain, wind, and electricity hazards. Always have a backup indoor plan.
Payment: If mailing your final payment, please do so immediately, no later than 3 days after the visit. Any additional charges (like overtime or keepsakes) will be invoiced afterward.
